TotalScope Marketing WhiteMountainsHistory.org, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of historical sites in and around the White Mountains of New Hampshire is starting a new project and has commissioned TotalScope to help.  The mission is to create self-service, mobile-enabled tours of historical sites using QR Codes, Guide-by-Cell phone service, and an interactive website.

TotalScope Marketing will be working on the website portion, among other aspects of the project.  Visitors to the new website will be able to create custom tours of historic sites, download pod-casts, interactive maps, view vintage photos and best of all…. take it all with them.  TotalScope will be developing a mobile version of the website so that the history-buff can take all that information with them.  Once at a particular historical site, the visitor will be able to dial a number from their mobile phone and listen to a 30-90 second recording about that site.  They can also their smart phones to ping the QR code at the site and be taken directly to more information on the website.  Looking at old photographs and watching a short video on your phone as you stand in front of history is kinda neat!

The Papermill Theatre is in the midst We are very proud to announce the launch of a new website interface for the North Country Center for the Arts, Papermill Theatre in Lincoln, NH.   We are equally proud to say that we have donated the website design work and hosting to this very deserving organization.

The Papermill Theatre is in the midst of a very ambitious capital campaign to fund a purpose-built entertainment theatre in the center of the town of Lincoln.  After many years performing in the old, run-down, mill site, which was torn down last summer, the theatre is starting a new chapter.

The new website incorporates the NCCA branding elements, a new modern design, an emphasis on graphics and images, and a much improved navigation design.  Built on a WP platform, with significant template modifications, the website is visually appealing and a much needed improvement for the theatre.

The website is rich in photography from the construction company’s portfolio.  The concept for the new website was to create an interface that was clean and professional looking, with branding elements that included the company’s logo and color pallette.  The green in the scheme represents their environmentally friendly building services and the blue, their calm and cool approach to their work.  We employed a series of photo slideshows to showcase the work that they have performed, understanding that customer’s want to see evidence of performance, and not just words.  However, all of the images in the slideshows were added in such a manner as to get easily indexed by the search engines offering a highly optimized website.  We even built a mobile version of the site to make it friendly to your devices.

The nice part about using this platform is the ability to hand the website back to its owners and to allow them to add, edit, or delete their own content.  Making changes is extremely easy using the CMS, including the photo gallery and navigational elements.  TotalScope has worked with the clients to reach their website goals, and so far, the website has received worthy acclaim.

After attempting many of the available Campton Village Realty in Campton, NH.  The website, www.camptonvillagerealty.com is the first site by TotalScope to incorporate an IDX, Internet Data Exchange, plugin to bring live MLS (Multiple Listing Service) real estate listings into the pages of the site.

After attempting many of the available ‘real estate’ plugins available through the community, we decided that nothing could compete with a live feed of real estate listing data from the local MLS in New Hampshire, which is the Northern New England Real Estate Network or NNEREN.  Though the Campton Village Realty website is employing the Plugin “Real Estate Plugin” to showcase its non-mls vacation rentals listings, the plugin used for the IDX far exceeds the non-IDX system.

The IDX plugin used for this application is the dsIDXpress by Diverse Solutions and for a small monthyl fee, they provide a live feed of data from most MLS’s to your website.  So far, so good.  The application seems very stable and has many features providing for much customization.  One feature in particular is the ability to add multiple variable strings to the query URL making it easy to create tailored searches of the MLS and resulting displays of the results in your own SEO friendly pages.  One example of this is how we created a query of all listings in the city of Campton, for the Agency Office of the Client.  Here is what the link looks like: http://www.camptonvillagerealty.com/idx/city/campton/?idx-q-ListingOfficeID=2343.

The plugin also allows the use of “short codes” making it extremely quick and easy to display any number of established search queries on any page of your blog.  There are many other IDX suppliers out there, and they may be very capable and stable, but for now, we are please with this.

We are pleased to announce that another new user interface has been recently launched by TotalScope Marketing.  Please have a look at the all new Comfort Inn & Suites Loon website at www.comfortinnloon.com.  Working over the past few months with the staff at the Comfort Inn was a real pleasure.  From conceptual design to implementation, the staff worked directly with us to get a website that meets their goals of improved exposure, improved customer relations, and increased reservation activity.

Like many others, this site uses the WordPress platform, coupled with a mix of customizations to 2 different thems to create the presence we were looking for.  The color scheme &  imagery is branded to follow Choice Hotel’s requirements.  The photo galleries were chosen to show the customer the endless vacation possibilities in the client’s home area, Loon Mountain, New Hampshire.

This site is just one of many that have been in the pipeline for several months.  In the coming weeks, you can expect to see new interfaces for Campton Village Realty, The Beacon Resort, and Security Storage.

The Comfort Inn & Suites Loon is located in the growing White Mountain town of Lincoln, NH.  With access to 2 of the East’s top ski resorts, Loon and Cannon, and a wealth of vacation activities, this hotel is in prime demand.

We employed WordPress as the base content management system, and customized a theme to create a new, professional, fully integrated user interface that meets the needs of the client.  The process for creating the site included several meetings with the staff and a few email/phone conversations.  In the end, it was a terrific experience which resulted in a great new site.

The Riess Construction owners, Mike, Pat, and Rob Riess, were all very much involved in the development of the content for the website and in the design.  We’d like to thank them for all of their work as well.  Their original website was not getting any real traffic, and virtually no referral business.  So, now we have a new site, that is much more interactive and user-friendly, with updated content, and has been optimized for search engines.  We have installed Google Analytics to measure the progress of our efforts and are already seeing some improvements in the traffic.
